We’re proud to say that we’re home to some of the very best teachers in their disciplines.
At Second Side, we create an environment where teachers can share their passion and craft with those eager to learn—and where students can grow beyond what they ever thought possible.
We’ve always believed that happy teachers lead to better classes, and better classes create happy students. That’s why we’re committed to compensating our teachers fairly for the important role they play in shaping our studio and our community. As you can see above, a meaningful portion of your contribution goes directly to our instructors. Without our wonderfully talented teachers, we simply couldn’t create the open, supportive, community-focused studio we all love.
AALAP
Aalap completed his 200 hour teacher training at Second Side Yoga. Aalap's classes feature dynamic movements paired with thoughtfully curated musical selections in an effort to go beyond pure focus and enter the flow state, allowing the outer world to dissolve away and one's inner machinations to be explored. Movement and sport were heavily centered in his life growing up, having practiced martial arts and played soccer for 10+ years. After searching for an alternative avenue for activity during the pandemic, he found himself hooked on the mental and physical stimulation that yoga provided.
To Aalap, the yogic asana practice ties with its metaphysical philosophy to provide the yogi tools to strive for balance and clarity in an increasingly ambiguous world. One cannot truly define their boundaries without pushing themselves outside of their comfort zone; one cannot truly appreciate comfort without experiencing discomfort. To Aalap, yoga asana provides a safe space on the mat to explore and digest these concepts and embody the lessons learned as one moves about in the world.

She is passionate about helping students build confidence, presence, and connection through yoga. Aspen’s teaching style is dynamic, challenging yet supportive, and grounded in the belief that we are all forever students of the practice.
BELEN
With nearly a decade of experience in yoga and Ayurveda, Belén Amores creates classes that are slow, grounded, and deeply intentional, offering space for the body to soften and the mind to settle.
Trained in vinyasa, restorative, yin, and hatha, she primarily teaches yin-inspired practices that support the nervous system, mobility, and inner stillness. Her classes integrate breathwork, meditation, and sometimes sound, along with Ayurvedic wisdom, creating a holistic and tailored experience that meets each student where they are. Students are drawn to her calming presence and thoughtful sequencing, often leaving class feeling lighter, clearer, and deeply restored.
CINDY
My goal as a yoga teacher is to make every student feel supported and safe exactly where they are. I encourage everyone to move in a way that feels right for them, skipping or exploring any posture that feels authentic in the moment. Safety and comfort are at the heart of every class.

JACE
JO
I have been teaching yoga for over two years, offering classes in both English and Spanish. My experience includes a variety of styles such as vinyasa, slow flow, sound bowl healing, and arm balance workshops.
I discovered my passion for yoga while searching for ways to improve my mental and physical health during particularly stressful periods in my personal and professional life. After just a few classes, I quickly felt the benefits, and yoga became a transformative practice for me. Since then, I have deeply immersed myself in yoga philosophy and education, completing more than 700 hours of yoga teacher training.
I continue to study and refine my practice to create meaningful, supportive experiences for my students. For me, yoga is a tool to cultivate well-being, mindfulness, physical strength, and mobility, both on and off the mat.
Beyond yoga, I hold a degree in Chemical Engineering and a master’s degree in Business. I currently work full-time as a Logistics Manager in a manufacturing company, a role that grounds me in structure and problem-solving while yoga allows me to express creativity, presence, and connection.
JONAS
Chronic back pain and what his orthopedic surgeon diplomatically called "a spine with character" brought Jonas to yoga over two decades ago—and he hasn't looked back since.
His practice deepened under the guidance of several teachers including Deana Haun, Sabra Hansen, David Swenson, Tim Feldman and Susie Caicedo, with whom he also completed his first teacher training. He furthered his study with Tim Miller at the Ashtanga Yoga Center, who certified him in 2017.
Coming from zero athletic background—more library than locker room—Jonas brings an unusual perspective to teaching. His years as a college lecturer taught him how to break things down, and his own journey from chronic pain to dedicated practice taught him patience.
His growth as a teacher is rooted in compassion and careful observation: watching how other teachers work, studying how his students move, and reflecting on his own practice. He meets practitioners exactly where they are and genuinely sees potential in everyone he works with. His students' progress speaks for itself. Jonas has led multiple teacher training programs (200- to 500-hour) and yearly yoga retreats. His philosophy is simple: "Come see me when you want to get better."
When he's not on his yoga mat, you'll find him behind a camera, shooting for Neiman Marcus and Bergdorf Goodman.
JORDON
Yoga found me during a rough season of my life in 2014. This practice grew over the course of several years into a big part of my life. At first, I was primarily focused on the physical asanas. Shortly after I started to look forward to my time on the mat.
I started to notice that I was feeling different. Small shifts internally started to project outwardly in my everyday life. My thoughts…my words…my actions.
Yoga gave me a place to reflect, and a place to be unapologetically authentic. My mat was a place free of expectations from others, and a place I could be completely honest with myself.
Through my practice I realized I had placed all of these expectations on myself that I thought everyone else wanted. These expectations limited me from feeling and experiencing the deep joys of life. Yoga gave me a space to be free. A new beginning.
I teach because I want to give my students a safe and loving place to find the way back home to themselves.
In addition to yoga - I’m a handstand enthusiast, and love being upside down! :P Handstands are a practice of Tapas (discipline), and give us a chance to see things from a different perspective.
Hope to see you on the mat soon.
KENNEDY
Kennedy began her yoga journey in 2017 and never looked back. What started as a physical practice quickly became a path of transformation for her mind, body, and spirit, inspiring her to share yoga as an act of service.
Rooted in reverence for the breath and the body, her teaching emphasizes moving intentionally, using breath to access greater depth, awareness, and ease within each posture. She creates challenging, intelligently sequenced flows that engage not only the body, but the mind, inviting students to stay present, focused, and curious as they move.
With nearly four years of teaching experience, Kennedy has guided students in the United States, Spain, and Israel, deepening her passion for sharing yoga across cultures and communities.
LAURA-BETH
Laura Beth Lopez is an experienced yoga teacher with over a decade of teaching in Dallas. She is a 500-hour E-RYT and has completed a 200-hour meditation training through Sukha Yoga in Austin. Her studies and practice span multiple lineages, including vinyasa and ashtanga, woven together with influences from other traditions to create a thoughtful, challenging and grounded practice.
Laura Beth’s teaching is rooted in breath, presence and embodiment. She invites students to step out of the busy mind and to drop into the body, using the mat as a classroom rather than a stage. Her classes encourage curiosity, effort and self-inquiry—an opportunity to meet yourself honestly through movement and breath, to really become intimate with all that you are and all that you can be.
LINDA
Discovering Ashtanga before yoga became mainstream in 1995 Linda was forced into taking a deeper dive into the practice of Hatha after suffering from a crippling accident leaving her wheelchair bound with the potential loss of her leg. After a full recovery, Linda was motivated to share the practice with several friends, instructed at small studios and her passion for teaching began.
Known for a strong work ethic, sense of humor, high energy level, approachability, and deep devotion to and understanding of Yoga as a Conscious practice of the Union of Body, Mind and Spirit, Linda is well versed in the ability to adapt the yoga practice for all skill levels, ages, physical impairments and injuries and a wide variety of body types
LINDSEY
I’ve been passionate about movement for over a decade, earning my Barre certification in 2014 and teaching until 2021. In 2025, I expanded into mat Pilates, where my love for small, focused, isometric movements really shines. I believe in slowing down, tuning in, and intentionally targeting muscles to build strength and transformation.
I love practicing yoga, spending time outdoors—especially at the beach—and soaking up life with my husband of 10 years and our three beautiful children.
MOE
I came to yoga in 2011 after completing my third Ironman, and I instantly fell in love with both the practice and the art of handstands. I earned my YTT certification in 2013, and ever since, I’ve continued to deepen my practice with a strong focus on handstand development.
My training emphasizes alignment, shoulder strength, and mastery of foundational skills. With these fundamentals, anyone can grow their practice as far as they’re willing to take it. What sets me apart as a teacher is that I’m always learning—I never forget what it feels like to be a beginner. I understand how fear can show up in the body and mind, and I offer step‑by‑step progressions designed to build confidence, stability, and true strength from the ground up.

Expect a challenging but welcoming practice focused on building strength, mobility, and confidence in your body. You’ll leave feeling worked, grounded, and just a little more like yourself.
SUSIE
I first began my yoga journey in 1998. I was fascinated and curious about the philosophy and the precision in which the poses where to be practiced and experienced. I was living in NYC, going to school and working full time. It was a time in my life where I needed a soft and safe space to be creative and breath; a space where I could be myself apart from the business of my life and my yoga practice offered that to me. Shortly after taking my first yoga class, I had the opportunity to travel to India to receive my 300 Hr. certification at the Bihar Yoga School Ashram in Bihar, India. I will forever remember that experience as one that changed my life. After I came back to the US; I took my second teacher training at the Miami Ashtanga Yoga Shala where I got my 500 Hr. certification.
In 2006 I moved to Dallas and have been teaching yoga classes and leading 200 Hr. Yoga Teacher Trainings since 2010. Many of my students are now leaders in the yoga community offering amazing classes, workshops and retreats. This journey for me continues. You will always find me practicing and teaching. I’ve had the fortune to study with many great teachers, and I continue to learn and search for meaningful ways to inspire my students in their search for greater meaning in life.
